These terms apply to every tour booked with See City Tours ("we", "us"). Making a booking means you accept them. Last updated: August 1, 2026.
1. Bookings
A booking exists only once we have replied to confirm it. The confirmation states the date, time, meeting point, party size and price.
Places are limited and allocated in the order they are confirmed. If your preferred departure is full we will offer alternatives.
2. Payment
Once your place is confirmed we send a payment link. Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due before departure. Some routes allow payment on the day, which the confirmation will say.
3. Cancellation and rescheduling
- More than 24 hours before departure: full refund.
- Within 24 hours: 50% of the tour price is charged.
- Not showing up without contacting us: no refund.
- Rescheduling: free if requested more than 24 hours ahead, to any departure within three months, subject to space.
4. Weather and events beyond our control
Tours run in light rain. In heavy rain, lightning, high wind, snow, air quality warnings or anything else affecting safety, we notify you at least four hours before departure and offer a free reschedule or a full refund.
Boat tours also depend on the operator sailing. If they suspend service, the same applies.
5. Changes to the itinerary
We may adjust the route or the stops because of construction, street closures, special events or safety. Where that happens we keep the overall length and quality of the tour and explain the reason at the time.
6. Your responsibilities
- Arrive on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late after the tour has started, it counts as a no-show.
- Walking tours require basic mobility — please check the route description against your own situation.
- Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Tell us at booking about any health condition or dietary restriction that could affect your participation.
- Follow your guide’s instructions where safety is concerned.
7. Admission and extra costs
Unless stated otherwise, the price does not include museum admission, boat tickets, food or transport. The confirmation email sets out what those cost and how to book them.
8. Limitation of liability
We are liable for direct loss or injury caused by our negligence, up to the limits of our insurance. We are not liable for lost personal property, for problems arising from an undisclosed health condition, or for indirect losses caused by events outside our control.
We recommend holding your own travel or accident insurance.
9. Website content
The text, images and design of this site are our copyright. Guide articles are general information — prices, opening hours and transit routes change constantly, so please verify anything time-sensitive before you rely on it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. We would much rather settle any disagreement by talking to you first.
